Quick Reference
Cafe: 10.10.98.47
Hall: 10.10.98.48
There are wireless projectors in the Hall and the outdoor cafe area that is often used for meetings, devotions and parent information sessions. The easiest way to display content on these projectors is to install NEC MultiPresenter and connect to a projector wirelessly. Please be aware that high resolution video can be a little bit laggy when presented wirelessly.
Download NEC MultiPresenter for Windows, Mac, iOS or Android* and install it on your device.
If you use it regularly (or if, like me, you keep forgetting what the app is called) you may want to add the app to your Dock on macOS or pin it to your taskbar on Windows.
Contact ICT if you need any assistance with installation.
N.B. Setup requires connecting to the projector. Check to make sure the projector is not in use and that you don't have anything confidential on your screen that you don't want everyone in the hall or cafe area seeing
The first time you use MultiPresenter you will need to manually add the projector. The setup screen looks similar on Mac, Windows and on mobile devices:
Connection β Select β Search by IP Address
Type the IP address and Click "Search"
Cafe IP address: 10.10.98.47
Hall IP address: 10.10.98.48
You should see a new projector in the Connection List; Cafe Area or Hall
Connect to the projector by clicking on the entry in the Connection List
Note for macOS users: A third party application having access to everything on your screen requires additional security permissions. When requested:
click the button to open Security & Privacy
unlock the settings (requires an admin password or fingerprint)
tick the box next to MultiPresenter
macOS 12 and earlier:
System Preferences β Security & Privacy β Privacy β Screen Recording
macOS 13:
System Settings β Privacy & Security β Screen Recording
Previous projectors you've used should show up in the Select list
Click on the desired projector and your device should immediately connect
Once connected you can control various projector settings from your computer:
Click the Target Device icon in the MultiPresenter stack
Switch to the Control tab
Choose Mute to blank the projector and choose Resume when you're ready to start showing content again
Choose Power off to turn off the projector after the meeting
Choose Disconnect to stop presenting but leave the projector powered on (e.g. if someone else will be presenting soon)
